MBJ Backend Solution

The MBJ Backend Solution is the perfect combination of our innovative A+A+A+ LED sun simulator, a hipot and grounding test for framed modules and our proven high resolution electroluminescence inspection into one compact and easy to use system.

With the sunny side down module transport it is ready for the integration in your production line and it is available for all of the new and larger module sizes up to a module size of 1400 mm x 2750 mm.

Technical details

Sun Simulator

  • Full spectrum long pulse LED sun simulator
  • LED lifetime more than 10 Million Flashes
  • TÜV certified LED light source (IEC 60904-9 Ed.3 with extended spectrum)
  • Spectrum Class A+ (IEC 60904-9 Ed.3,spectral match 300nm-1200nm)
  • Long term instability (LTI) < +/- 1%  Class A+  (IEC 60904-9 Ed.3)
  • Non uniformity < +/- 1% Class A+ (IEC 60904-9 Ed.3)
  • Repeatability of Pmax, flash to flash < +/- 0.1 % (absolute)
  • Sampling 16 Bit / 50 kHz fully synchronously / configurable IV data recording time
  • 4 wire measurement connection

Elektroluminezenz Test

  • NIR CMOS cameras with a pixel resolution of 180 µm/pixel
  • Module power supply with up to 60 V and 25 A (others on request)

The perfect combination

An extremely small footprint houses all the necessary module testing required at the end of the production line.

  • Power measurement
  • HiPot and grounding test
  • Electroluminescence

There is no extra handling needed to set up modules e.g. vertically as all tests are performed "sunny-side down". Our solution significantly reduces effort and space requirements in the backend and thus sets new standards.

With the MES interface SECS GEM PV02 you integrate our system completely and process-oriented into your production management.

Innovative LED technology for the backend

Of course, we use innovative LED technology for the sun simulator. The LED technology solves many known problems that arise from the use of the previously dominant xenon technology.

For Example:

  • the long lifetime of the LED's
  • the long usable pulse duration with up to 180ms
  • the stability of the light flash

This leads to very good reproducibility, lowest operating and maintenance costs and excellent suitability for new module concepts such as bifacial modules.
